Early Life and Career
Vinnie Pasquantino is a 26-year-old first baseman and designated hitter for the Kansas City Royals. He was drafted in 2019 from Old Dominion University.
Pasquantino played for the Class-A Cedar Rapids Kernels and High-A Quad Cities River Bandits in 2019, batting a combined .298 with 12 home runs and 63 RBIs in 118 games.
He spent the 2020 season at the Royals' alternate training site due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2021 Season
Pasquantino began the 2021 season with the Double-A Northwest Arkansas Naturals, where he batted .289 with 19 home runs and 76 RBIs in 90 games.
He was promoted to the Triple-A Omaha Storm Chasers in August, where he batted .335 with 5 home runs and 25 RBIs in 38 games.
2022 Season
Pasquantino made his Major League debut for the Royals on May 10, 2022, against the Cleveland Guardians. He went 0-for-4 in his debut but has since become a regular in the Royals' lineup.
Pasquantino is a left-handed hitter and thrower who plays first base. He is known for his power and patience at the plate, as well as his good fielding skills.
