Exit polls conducted by various agencies have unanimously predicted a resounding victory for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the 2024 Indian general elections. The NDA is projected to secure a decisive majority, enabling Modi to return to power for an unprecedented third term.

Key Findings

According to the exit polls, the BJP-led NDA is expected to win anywhere between 280 and 310 seats in the 543-member Lok Sabha. This would mark a significant increase from the 303 seats it won in the previous election.

The main opposition party, the Indian National Congress, is predicted to perform poorly, with exit polls projecting it to win only around 100 seats. Other regional parties are also expected to lose ground, with the Aam Aadmi Party and the Left Front projected to make only marginal gains.

The counting of over 640 million votes began early on Tuesday, and the final results are expected to be announced by Thursday. However, the exit poll results strongly suggest that Modi's BJP will once again emerge as the dominant force in Indian politics.
